In loving memory of John Joseph Beard, a devoted husband, caring father, beloved grandfather and esteemed member of the community. John passed away on July 2, 2024, in Spartanburg, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on March 14, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, John was the son of the late Lewis Fenton Beard Sr., and Eugenia Whalen Beard. Throughout his life, John exemplified unwavering dedication and passion in everything he pursued. Going from the world of hospitality to working in It, He was able to find a career that fit his passion. He excelled in his career but also touched the lives of colleagues and customers alike with his kindness and integrity.
John's presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. His love story with Deborah Beard spanned an incredible 49 years, filled with love, laughter and unwavering support for each other. Their bond was a true testament to the power of love and commitment.
Left to honor John's memory are his cherished wife, Deborah Beard: beloved children, Brandi Mikesell (Kyle), Lewis Beard (Christy); grandchildren, Chandler, Charlotte, Kadence, and Dalton; siblings, Mary Luongo, Patricia Beard, Ann Franczak (Jim), Theresa Beard, and David Beard (Carolyn). He shared a special bond with Matt, Lora, David, Eliot, Jennifer, Lauren and Chali along with numerous grandnieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Lewis F. Beard Jr.
John's charismatic personality and genuine kindness endeared him to all generations of his family. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, wise counsel and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched during his time on earth.
As we mourn the loss of John Joseph Beard let us also celebrate a life well-lived--a life dedicated to family, hard work and compassion towards others. May his spirit continue to inspire us all to lead with love and kindness in our own lives..
