John Allison Jr.

John Coan Allison, Jr. of Duncan, SC, died Thursday, September 6, 2018. Born January 19, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Pauline "Polly" Thompson Allison and John Coan Allison, Sr. A U.S. Navy veteran of The Vietnam War, John retired from Etalk Corporation in Dallas, TX. Survivors include his fiancé, Debbie Melton; daughter, GiGi Lorraine Allison Jacobs; son, John Coan Allison, III; three grandchildren, Tyler, Blake, and Hunter Jacobs; and two sisters, Rachel Sprayberry and LeClaire Allison. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Highway 56, Pauline, SC 29374, conducted by The Rev. Jimmie Farmer. Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall.
