Johanne Fields

Johanne Bonnette Fields, 70, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home. Born December 9, 1950 in Orangeburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Herbert Bolen and Sudie Compton Bonnette. Mrs. Fields was a speech therapist in the public school system and a member of First Baptist Spartanburg. She loved her husband, family, grandchildren, and working with children especially preschool children at church. Mrs. Fields was a Cub Scout Leader, she worked with the Middle School Choir; and sang in the Sanctuary Choir at First Baptist Spartanburg. She loved being "JoJo" to her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 47 years Jeffrey Garner Fields Sr.; sons, Jonathan Herbert Fields of Lexington, SC, Jeffrey Garner Fields Jr. (Elizabeth) of Spartanburg, SC and Judson Roy Fields (Katie) of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Bolen Fields, Mason Fields both of Spartanburg, SC, Emma Fields, John Mark Fields, Betsy Fields, Allie Carole Fields all of Little River, SC, and brother, Tom Bonnette (Carol) of Orangeburg, SC. Visitation will be held 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, February 21, 2021 at First Baptist Spartanburg, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM conducted by The Rev. Robert Neely and The Rev. Sal Barone. Services will be livestreamed at www.fbs.org. A private committal service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021.
