Joe Sherbert

Joseph A. Sherbert, 74, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at his home. Born May 25, 1939, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late William M. and Adell Hoppes Sherbert. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a retired electrician with Spartan Mills, and a member of Whitney Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. Sherbert; daughter, Tracy Brewington of Boiling Springs, SC; son, Kirk Sherbert of Asheboro, NC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Bronson Joseph Durham; one sister; and three brothers. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, September 9, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Cecil W. Seagle.
