Joe Scott

Joe B. Scott, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 1, 1929, in Converse, SC, he was the son of the late Hubert and Irene Baber Scott, and husband of the late Evelyn Ruth Scott. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Scott was retired from Greenwood Motorlines and was most recently employed with Spartanburg Dodge Warehouse. Surviving are his children, Larry Scott (Ann) of Boiling Springs, SC, Gary Scott (fiancé, Donna Franklin) of Beaumont, SC, Glenn Scott (Teri) of Greer, SC, and Lynn Ferguson (Paul) of Spartanburg, SC; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Reel of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 2, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Bill Harris. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
