Joe Roberts

Joe D. Roberts, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 3, 1927, in Clifton, SC, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ila Coggins Roberts. Mr. Roberts was the owner/operator of Joe's Exterminating Service. He delivered Mobile Meals for 30 years and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he was also a greeter and Deacon. Surviving are his loving wife of 73 years, Dorothy E. Roberts; daughter, Sherrie Roberts Ogle (James) of Spartanburg; grandson, David Dunn (Melissa) of Spartanburg; great grandchildren, Taylor Dunn and Samantha Dunn; along with many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a son, Barry Joe Roberts, a daughter, Linda Elizabeth Roberts, one sister, and six brothers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation will be 2:00 - 2:45 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by Pastor Don Davis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
