Joe Wayne McGuire

Joe Wayne McGuire, 82, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at White Oak Estates. Born May 8, 1941, he was a son of the late Harry Ben and Louvinia Mary Mitchell McGuire. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy Jo McGuire.

Mr. McGuire was a very hardworking man, who put his family first. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and listening to music. He spent as much time as he could with his family, loving on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters, Candy Weathers (Chad) of Chesnee and Kookie McGuire of Columbia; grandchildren, Preston Weathers (Brittany) of Chesnee, Noah Weathers (Kayla) of Cliffside, NC, and Olivia Dean of Columbia; and great-grandchildren, Carolina Weathers, Cliffton Weathers, Clyde Weathers, and Colten Weathers. He was predeceased by his parents, his sibling, Josephine McGuire Knox, and great-granddaughter, Zadie Weathers.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 conducted by Rev. Kyle Cayton. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
