Joaquin "Jack" Costa Ricardo Jr., 75, of Moore, SC died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born January 8, 1945, in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Joaquin Costa and Clara Bellucci Ricardo. A member of the U.S. Merchant Marines for three years, Mr. Ricardo, was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzard Bay, MA. He attended the Catholic Church of Jesus, Our Risen Savior and was a member of the Greenville Chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sheila Paioni Ricardo; sons, Jason Ricardo (Jill) of Dade City, FL and Brian Ricardo (Beth) of Argyle, TX; ten grandchildren, Roman, Rhett, Reagan, Rio, Rhys, Ruby, Raphaela, Jacob, Nick and Brianna; sister, Elizabeth Lefebvre of New Port Richey, FL; sisters-in-law, Shirley Hawes of Longview, TX and Judith Farrell of Ballston Lake, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Joseph Ricardo and Gloria Letteney. Services will be held at a later date in Massachusetts and a Celebration of Life will be held later in Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, 189 North Forest Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
