JoAnne West Fleming

JoAnne West Fleming, age 84, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born March 9, 1940, in Pacolet, South Carolina to the late Bernard James West and Laura M. Howell West.

JoAnne's warm and sweet personality endeared her to everyone she met. She was a greeter at Walmart for many years, sharing her welcoming smile with all the customers. Her most favored pass time was shopping and spending time with her family, engaging in the simple joys of life. JoAnne was a member at Pacolet First Baptist Church.

JoAnne is survived by her loving sisters, Shirley W. Jones and Dorothy Freeman both of Pacolet, SC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall Fleming, her parents, her brothers, James West and Wilburn West and her sister Barbara Snapp. She made a significant impact on so many lives.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel followed by the burial in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. 

JoAnne's spirit will continue to shine brightly as her life testament and through the love shared with her family and friends.
