Joann Davis

JoAnn Blackwelder Davis, 77, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born March 31, 1935, in China Grove, NC, she was a daughter of the late Victor Lee and Sallie Moss Blackwelder. She was a member of North Spartanburg Church of God. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Dean Wilson Davis; children, Brenda Walker (Steve) of Spartanburg, Debra Davis Piper of Chesnee, Dean W. Davis, Jr. (Brenda) of Spartanburg, and Tammie Brooks (Clay) of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Shannon Walker Smith, Shelley Lawson, Christy Chapman, DeAnna Brooks; grandsons, Christopher Walker, T. J. Ravan, Jr., Clay Brooks, Jr., and Kevin Long; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her loving pets, Precious and JoJo. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Smith, Marian Atwell, and her twin, Jo Leen Hughes; brothers, Ralph, Bill, Walter, and Johnny Blackwelder. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Stephen Johnson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
