Joan Huggins Wall, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 5, 2023. Born in Landrum, Joan was the daughter of the late Atlee Long Huggins, Sr. and Mary Elledge Huggins and the wife of the late James E. Wall, Sr.
Joan worked for Flowers Bakery, Canteen, and most recently, Carolina Analysis. Joan was a member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed coordinating and attending the Young at Hearts group for many years.
Survivors include her daughters, Marie Wall Hope (Brit) and Patricia Wall Lyda (Wayne); her sons, Edward Wall and Billy Wall; grandchildren, Trey Hope (Justin), Eric Hope (Kathy), Alston Lyda (Savannah), Christina Wall McDaniel (Corey), and Taylor Lyda Ley (Rath); six great-grandchildren, Abel McDaniel, Mia McDaniel, Eli McDaniel, Mia Ley, Emersyn Ley, and Harper Lyda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Atlee Long Huggins, Jr., Dewey Earl Huggins, Norrell Richard Huggins, Laurene Huggins Morgan, Linda Huggins Garner and Geraldine Huggins.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Scott Gilmer and The Rev. Jack Polin.
