Jo Westmoreland

Jo Carolyn Willis Westmoreland, 88, died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Skylyn Place. Born November 22, 1921, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late William Earl and Carrie Vassey Willis and widow of James Butler Westmoreland. She was a graduate of Converse College, a retired public school teacher with Spartanburg School District 7 for over 30 years, and a member of Fernwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, John David Westmoreland and a sister, Kathleen McClellan, both of Spartanburg. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Morgan. Visitation will follow the graveside service.
