Jo Brown

Jo Nancy Baker Brown, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at White Oak at North Grove-Spartanburg. Born March 12, 1938, in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jeta Parnell Baker and Sadie McRorie Baker and widow of Perry Allen Brown Jr. Mrs. Brown was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was co-owner of Brokel Electronics and a librarian assistant with Spartanburg School District 7 for a number of years. Survivors include her children, David A. Brown (Sandra) of Chesnee, SC and Susan Brown Laserna (William) of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Brandon Brown and Reagan Laserna; and sister, Jenita B. Coggins of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Joyce Cantrell and Geraldine Baker. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, by The Rev. Keith Davis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
