Jimmy Harvey

Jimmy Randall Harvey, 57, of Whitestone, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 4, 1956, he was the son of Jimmy Wells Harvey and Erlene Atkins Harvey. Randy was a graduate of Pacolet High School and was retired from Southern Railway in maintenance after 18 years. He trained and showed cutting horses, had a great passion for racing and riding motorcycles and was an avid outdoorsman. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Dale Edge Harvey of Whitestone; mother, Erlene Harvey of Pacolet, father, Jimmy Harvey of Pacolet; a sister, Tracy Lee (Chris) of Pacolet; a son, Blane Harvey (Kelly) of Pacolet; granddaughters, Kayla Harvey and Hayle Harvey, both of Spartanburg; a grandson, Levi Harvey; a great-grandson, Rylan Phillips; a stepson, Clayton Burgess of Pacolet; and nephews, Kane Lee and Mick Elgin. He was predeceased by a son, Dustin Harvey; a stepson, Brandon Burgess; and grandparents, Willie and Lizzie Harvey and Frank and Ola Atkins. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Pacolet First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
