Jimmy Parris, Jr.

Jimmy Ray “Jim Bob” Parris, Jr., 61, of Cowpens, SC died Monday, May 9, 2022 in his home. Born September 30, 1960 in Harrisonville, MO, he was the son of the late Jimmy Ray Parris, Sr. and Barbara Owen Temple. He was married to Diane Stanford Parris for 30 years.

Jimmy was the owner of Parris Rentals since 1994 and co-owner of Fowler and Sons Towing Company since 2013. He was devoted to his family and his role as a loving grandfather. Jimmy enjoyed entertaining and music, and especially loved to sing. He always loved old cars and spending time at Ocean Lakes Family Campground, enjoying the beach.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Parris of Cowpens, SC; daughter, Mandy Stocks of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Carson and Andrew Stocks; and sisters, Pat Livesay, Vickie McGraw, and Dianne Millwood. He is predeceased by his sister, Donna Wright.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, Sc 29307. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
