Jimmy Hollis

Jimmy Lee Hollis, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, July 18, 2016, at his home. Born February 10, 1940, in Chatsworth, GA, he was the son of the late Barry and Birdie Sisson Hollis and husband of the late Janice George Hollis. A U. S. Marine veteran, Mr. Hollis was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church and retired from Ford Motor Company. He also worked at Cecil Moore Lawn Mower Repair. Survivors include his children, Janice Elaine Hodge of Spartanburg, SC; Debra Waldrep of Pinehurst, NC, Susan Elizabeth Hollis and Jimmy Hollis, Jr., both of Snellville, GA; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Hollis of Lithia Springs, GA, Gary Hollis of Atlanta, GA, and Dale Hollis of Austell, GA, Tommy Hollis of St. Louis, MO, and Billy Hollis of Dublin, GA; and sisters, Brenda Connor of Ellijay, GA and Annie Brown of Dallas, GA. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by a son, Arlen Collins; and brother, David Hollis. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Thursday, July 21, 2016, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Rd., Wellford, SC 29385, by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams.
