Jimmy Harvey

JJimmy Wells Harvey, 82, of Pacolet, SC, died Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born July 3, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Willie Lawson Harvey, Sr. and Lizzie Beth Foster Harvey. Mr. Harvey was a veteran of The US Army National Guard, and was retired from Hoechst Celanese as a maintenance mechanic. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church of Pacolet, Troth Shoals Masonic Lodge #228, and a Shriner. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Erlene Atkins Harvey; daughter, Tracy Lee (Chris) of Pacolet, SC; grandsons, Blane Harvey (Kelly) of Union, SC; Mick Elgin of Spartanburg, SC; Kane Lee of Pacolet, SC; four great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Mae Harris, Margaret Hill (Sheridan), Midge Buice (Perry), all of Spartanburg; sister in law, Elsie Harvey of Pacolet, SC. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by son, Jimmy Randall Harvey and an infant son; grandson, Dustin Harvey, brother, Willie Lawson Harvey, Jr. and brother in law, Ben Harris. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2018 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372, conducted by The Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will follow in Pacolet First Baptist Church Cemetery, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372.
