Jill Williams

Jill Williams, 74, of 400 Weber Road, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home. Born January 15, 1935 in London, England, Jill was the daughter of the late Jack and Doris Pullen. A graduate of the University of Manchester, Jill will be remembered for her lifelong commitment to her family and to her students during 20 years teaching Latin at Spartanburg Day School. Jill was also an avid bridge player with her friends at the Spartanburg Bridge Club. Jill is survived by her husband of 52 years, Laurie Williams; two sons, Matt Williams of Seneca; Rob Williams and wife Cathy of Atlanta, GA, and two grandchildren, Collin Williams and Rachel Williams; a sister, Margaret Beake of Shepperton, England; and a brother John Pullen of Wraysbury, England. Jill was predeceased by a son, Jeremy Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
