Jessie Rogers

Jessie Fritts Rogers, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 14, 1923, in Loudon, TN, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Martin and Mary "Molly" Taylor Fritts and the widow of Paul G. Rogers. Mrs. Rogers took great pride in her cooking and was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She retired from Geer Drug Company as a telephone receptionist. Survivors include a son, Henry Neill "Hank" Rogers (Bonnie) of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Sean Rogers (Gina) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Shane Rogers (Monica) of Moore, SC; great-grandchildren, Kaylin Rogers, Kendyl Rogers, Ethan Rogers, and Eli Rogers; sister, Mavis Stanley of Lenoir City, TN; and numerous nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 6, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Andrew Wolfe and the Rev. Paul Ballard. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 2095 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
