Jessie Brown

Jessie (Irene) Johnson Brown, 74, of Inman, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 13, 1937, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Bernice Bishop Johnson. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and the Family Community Leaders of Boiling Springs. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Fredrick E. Brown; children, Lettie B. Link (John), James Brown (Susan), Jackie Brown, Pam Gilbert, Fredrick E. Brown, Jr., Bruce Brown (Amanda), and Holly Thackston (David); 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Rhonda and Donna Johnson; brother, Henry Johnson; and sister, Nell Johnson. She was predeceased by a daughter, Virginia "Jenny" Lee Garland. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mark Williams. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
