Jesse Glasgow

Jesse Conrad Glasgow, 80, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, March 24, 2017 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born December 16, 1936 in Conway, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse James and Lila Calhoun Glasgow. Conrad graduated from Clemson University in 1959 with a degree in Textile Engineering. He was retired from Milliken and Company after 43 years of service in Hartsville, Spartanburg, and Union, SC; along with Gainesville and Manchester, GA. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Johnston Glasgow; daughters, Stephanie Davis (Lamar) of Spartanburg, SC; Beth Campbell (Tommy) of Clemson, SC; grandchildren, Murray Davis (Holly), Meredith Cross (Robert), Alexis Krider (Matthew), Elizabeth Campbell, Thomas Campbell; great grandchildren, Lila Davis, Grady Davis, Griffin Davis, Davis Cross and Emma Cross; and a brother, Charles Glasgow. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, James Glasgow. Visitation will be 10:30 - 11:45 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon at the church, conducted by the Rev. John L. Warren, Jr. and the Rev. Jane H. Pierce. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or Antioch United Methodist Church c/o Delores Calhoun, 5526 Antioch Road, Conway, SC 29527.
