Jerry Russell, Sr.

Jerry Russell, Sr., 66, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born, March 21, 1946 in Startex, SC, he was the son of the late James Alberry and Geneva Hall Russell. Mr. Russell was a member of Thompson Chapel Baptist Church and loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Susie Russell; daughter, Stacey Bogan and husband Glenn of Chesnee; son, Jerry Russell, Jr. and wife Sandi of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Jessica, Wesley, Courtney, Savannah, and Christian; and sister, Linda Carol McLeod of Converse. He was predeceased by brother, Boyd Earl Russell; and sister, Laura Ann Russell. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Powell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
