Jerry Lee Chapman, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and friend passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born May 19, 1956, in Spartanburg. South Carolina. He was the son of Boyce (Sonny) and Nancy Gowan Chapman.

During his life he worked in construction and maintenance at Beaumont Mills, Price Construction, and DC Garage Doors.  After his working career was over, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, riding around in his golf cart, attending concerts, and sitting on the front porch. Jerry was known for being fun loving, being a practical joker, listening to music as loud as possible and for his massive hugs.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Denise Burnett Chapman together they shared three daughters, Kara C. Ohnheiser (Matthew) Kristi C. Wright (Matthew) and Katie C. Hendrix (Vince) and a special son of the heart, Adrian Adamson (Ashley).

Jerry’s grandchildren, Gabriel, Samantha, Cooper, Avery, Asher, Ethan, Scarlett, Tyler, and Bryson meant the world to him and together they created special memories that will last them a lifetime.

Jerry was also survived by his sister, Debbie Gillespie, as well as several nieces and a nephew, his sister-in-law, Phyllis Pryor (Billy), brother-in-law, Glenn Burnett (Teresa) and brother-in-law, Steve Burnett (Sally), a great amount of cousins and his extra grandkids and neighbors who were lucky to know him as ,an uncle, cousin and brother-in-law.

A Celebration of Life was held on December 10 at 2pm, at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church.
