Jerry Dewitt Fowler, 90, of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. A native of Spartanburg County, he was born on December 18, 1933, a son of the late Ben Tillman and Kathleen Holloman Fowler.
He retired from Arrow Automotive as Director of Training and Human Resources, a Dale Carnegie Instructor for 18 years, a professional speaker and trainer. He was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School teacher of the Ready Class. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Willis Fowler; sons, Jerry Vincent Fowler of Berkeley, CA, David William Fowler (Kim) of Chesnee and Daniel Willis (Danny) Fowler (Debora) of Boiling Springs; Six grandchildren, Elijah Fowler, Ryan Fowler, Matthew Fowler, Savannah Fowler, Paige Fowler Wells, Kristin Fowler Foster and twelve great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Catherine Compton, Treva Wines, Janice Lawrence and Bennie T. Fowler, Jr.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 12:00 Noon Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 pm in the sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
