Jerry Epps

Jerry Wayne Epps, 67, of Clifton, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his home. Born May 23, 1945, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ola Emory Epps. A U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Epps was retired from Grants Textiles and a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nellie Duncan Epps; son, Jimmy Epps (Lori) of Clifton, SC; grandsons, Stephen Epps, Spencer Epps, and Sam Epps, all of Clifton, SC; and sister, Elberta Rhodes of Cowpens, SC. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Mike Stubblefield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church, PO Box 64, Clifton, SC 29324; or Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
