Jerald Garner

Jerald Nelson Garner, 56, of Seneca, SC, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. He was the son of Marie Garrett Garner of Spartanburg and the late Nelson Garner. Mr. Garner was a graduate of UNC in Chapel Hill and employed with Duke Energy, Oconee Nuclear Plant, for 30 years. He was a longtime purveyor of classic comic books and of the Methodist faith. In addition to his mother, survivors include his aunt, Edith Ford of Spartanburg; uncle, Walter Garrett of Spartanburg; and several cousins. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roye Lynn Kulik and the Rev. David F. Ervin. Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 3055 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
