Jeffrey "Jj"

Jeffrey Jay Burkett "JJ", 58, of Spartanburg, SC and formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born September 28, 1959, in Olney, MD, he was the son of Ramona J. Burkett of Hagerstown, MD and the late H. Marion Burkett. Jeff was an experienced auto technician, talented artist and loved to cook. His passion was freshwater fishing on his boat. He also enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins and NASCAR. Surviving, in addition to his mother are his son, Jeremy of Oregon and daughter, Chelsea of Pennsylvania; siblings, Laura (Jeff) Mellott of Hagerstown, MD and John (Melanie) Burkett of Thurmont, MD; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, H. Marion Burkett; and brother, M. Todd Burkett. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
