Jeannine Miller

Jeannine Miller, 77, of Converse Heights, Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg after a lengthy illness. Born November 20, 1939, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Dabney Miller and Geraldine Ballenger Miller. Jeannine attended Spartanburg City Schools and graduated from Limestone College with a BA Degree in Elementary Education. Jeannine's first teaching job was in Cocoa Beach, FL, where she taught children of numerous NASA employees. She returned to Spartanburg to teach Third Grade at Fairforest Elementary School, remaining there for 30 years. Survivors include her brother, William "Bill" Dabney Miller Jr. of Saluda, NC; three nephews, William "Trip" Dabney Miller, III (Michele) of Acworth/Atlanta, GA, Scott Chapman Miller (Lesley) of Ramsgate, Kent, United Kingdom, and Tyce Ballenger Miller (Kathy) of Sandy Springs/Atlanta, GA. Visitation will be conducted 12:00-1:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A private graveside service will be conducted in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
