Jeanne Burwell

Jeanne Crane Burwell, 88, of Spartanburg, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Windsor House. Born April 14, 1922, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Ellie Howey Crane. She was first married to the late Elgin Reid and then to the late Captain Frank H. Burwell, Jr. Jeanne retired as a librarian from Pine Street School and she was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. Survivors include a brother, Joe Hunter Crane of Redding, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Edward Burwell; a sister, Verlene Elizabeth "Pat" Koon; and two brothers, James Francis Crane and William Sanford Crane. Funeral services will be private.
