Jeanette Turner

Jeanette Putnam Turner, 78, of Woodruff, SC, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Born July 10, 1942 in Woodruff, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mills Putnam and Flora Allen Putnam. A member of Green Pond Baptist Church, Mrs. Turner was a lifetime choir member, was very active in church affairs, and completely devoted to her family and church. Survivors include her husband, Reginald "Reg" High Turner; sons, Dale Turner (Tammy) of New Orleans and Darrell Turner (Lily Ann) of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Lou Brissie Putnam, Stan Musial Putnam, Ted Williams Putnam, Madison Paul Putnam, Eva Marie Phillips, Betty Putnam Brown, and Allen Brent Putnam. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Mills Putnam Jr. in 1993 and Ralph Kinder Putnam in 2020. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 18, 2020 in Green Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by The Rev. F. Richard "Dick" Williams Jr. and Mr. Benjamin Turner. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Masks and social distancing are suggested. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Pond Baptist Church, 300 Chicken Foot Creek Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
