Jean Sizemore

Jean Horton Sizemore, 75, of Inman, SC, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 7, 1941, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Addie Cochran Horton and widow of C. L. Sizemore. Mrs. Sizemore was an avid gardener, a member of Green Point Baptist Church, and retired from Spartan Mills. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Koon (Michael) of Moore, SC; son, Edwin Ryan McKinney of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Michael Koon (Amber) of Boiling Springs, SC; great-grandchildren, Bixley Koon and Breylan Koon; sister, Corine H. Scoggins (Arthur) of Green Creek, NC; and brother, James Horton (Louise) of Inman, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Sue Price; and brothers, Donald Horton and Defoy Horton. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. David Lancaster. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Memorials may be made to Green Point Baptist Church Building Fund, 1391 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, SC 29349. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Michael Koon, 459 Grazing Ridge Road, Moore, SC 29369.
