Jean Mabry

John 16:33 (ESV) Jean Martin Mabry, 71, of 231 Dogwood Drive, Pacolet, SC, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 6, 1942, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Clyde and Dorothy Lee Thomas Martin. She was a retired postmaster after 31 years and 3 months' service and was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James "Jimmy" Smith Mabry, Sr.; daughters, Michelle Mabry Gossett (Brian) and Holly Mabry Price, all of Spartanburg, SC; son, James Smith Mabry, Jr. (Jennifer) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Luaine Martin Hall (Harry) and family of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Lauren, Maggie, MaryElise, Kaylee, and Emma; grandsons, Ben and Walker; sister-in-law, Jeanette Buchanan and family of Pacolet. A celebration of life will be 2:00-3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Pacolet First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will follow in the church sanctuary at 4:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pacolet First Baptist Church Chimes Fund, 310 W. Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372. The family is at the home.
