Jean Arnam

Jean H. Van Arnam, formerly of Beaufort and Clinton, SC, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at RoseCrest Retirement Community. Born December 9, 1920, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Russel M. and Edith M. Fordham Herrick and the wife of the late William Donaldson Van Arnam, Jr. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include a daughter, Jane V. Turner and her husband Jack of Chesnee; two sons, William Donaldson Van Arnam, III and his wife Norma of Huffman, TX, and Charles F. Van Arnam and his wife Carol of Englewood, CO; three granddaughters, Catherine Turner of Philadelphia, PA, Jennifer Fetterman of Richmond, VA, and Ann Van Arnam of Denver, CO; two grandsons, William Van Arnam of Littleton, CO, and Wade DeClaris of London, England; two great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by the Rev. Maria Miller. The family will receive friends following the service at the Chapel. Interment will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
