Jay D. Wilkins, 55, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 23, 1966 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of Nettie Ward Wilkins of Moore, SC and the late Jonathan Wayne Wilkins.

Jay attended University of South Carolina-Spartanburg and was retired from Wilkins Opticians. He loved his Lord and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. Jay was a loving son, brother, husband, and uncle.

He enjoyed golf and was a Clemson University fanatic. Jay loved being with his family, and his favorite fur baby, Rosco.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Hasiuk Wilkins, his brothers, Robert Mark Wilkins (Karen) of Spartanburg, SC and Jeffrey S. Wilkins (Katherine) of Moore, SC; three nephews, three great nephews, and a great niece.

Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:45 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Floyd’s Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. A Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Joe Burnett.
