Jay White

Jay C. White, 88, of Moore, SC, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 21, 1925, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Jay Crawford and Adella Caldwell White. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. White was a member of American Legion Post #28 and a 32nd Degree Mason in both York and Scottish Rites. He was employed as an account executive with Halo Branded Solutions and of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving are his wife, Leslie "Liz" White; daughters, Leah A. White and Dee White Earnhart of Moore, SC, Sharen W. Bell (Lee) of New Wilmington, PA, Karen L. Maddox (Rickie) of Hickory, NC, and Donna J. Anderson (Mark) of Moore, SC; grandchildren, Sarah L. White, Lucas A. Earnhart, Justin L. Bell, A. J. White, Matthew A. Anderson, and Laura E. Anderson; beloved great-grandson, Jay M. White; niece, Susan W. Goldsmith (Terry); nephew, Tim W. White (Stacey); and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Warren C. White. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Redeemer Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, by The Rev. William E. Slattery. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC 29376.
