Janie Crocker

Janie Sprouse Crocker, 83, of Cowpens, SC, died Monday, December 22, 2014, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 14, 1931, in Gilkey, NC, she was the daughter of the late Horace Daniel Lane and Alta Lavada Clontz Lane, and widow of Paul R. Crocker. Mrs. Crocker was retired from The Cabana Restaurant and was of the Baptist faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include her children, Janice Elaine Daniels (Sam) of Cowpens, SC, Clifford Watson Sprouse of Campobello, SC, and Roger Dale Sprouse of Spartanburg; grandson, Jeremy Sprouse (Heather) and their children, Starla Nichole Sprouse and Kaedin Sprouse, all of Inman, SC; granddaughter, Knicky Nicole Howell; and step-grandson, J. D. Queen. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Johnny and Clyde Lane; and her first husband, Watson Herbert Sprouse. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 26, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
