Janice Thompson

Janice Elizabeth Thompson, 65, of Columbia, SC, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. Lovingly referred to as "Nena" by her grandsons, she was born March 26, 1948, in Spartanburg, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Lindberg Thompson and Ruby Peterson Towery. She was a graduate of Chesnee High School and Cecil's Business College, and a Customer Service Operator with Verizon Wireless. Survivors include a daughter Sandi Thompson Graham (Blease) of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Cole, Scott and Michael Graham of Columbia; brothers, Mike Towery (Judy) of Winston-Salem, NC and Scott Towery (Kim) of Lewisville, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Scott Thompson. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2014, at Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC, conducted by the Rev. Matt Capps.
