Janice Palmer Moss

Janice Palmer Moss, age 77, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.  She was born in Woodruff on September 10,1946, and was a daughter of the late John Tillman Palmer and Hazel Pettit Palmer and stepdaughter of the late, LeRoy Sellars.  
 
Janice's journey in academia was marked by her unwavering commitment to shaping young minds. Over the course of her career, she taught Business Education classes to students at Spartanburg Technical College, Woodruff High School and Boiling Springs High Schools for over 38 years.
 
Her pursuit of knowledge was evident in her own educational achievements. Janice was a proud graduate of Roebuck High School, holding a bachelor’s degree in business from Limestone College and furthering her expertise with a master’s degree in education from USC.
 
Janice was the beloved wife to Rodney J. Moss for 55 cherished years. She is survived by her brother, Bert Sellars (Starr), sister, Toni Lindler (Ed), and brother, Lee Sellars (Catherine), along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Palmer, and Eula Bridges. She is preceded in death by her brothers, John T. Palmer, and Dennis Palmer.

She loved her cat, Maxi.  She was a friend to all animals, and one of her greatest joys was watching the Carolina Gamecocks!
 
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel in Spartanburg, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg immediately following the service.
 
Janice Palmer Moss will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the kindness and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. May her soul rest in peace.
