Janette Stacey Hines, 76, of 184 Connecticut Avenue, died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born May 17, 1934 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Burley B. and Birdie Roe Stacey and the wife of the late James E. Hines. She retired from S & S Manufacturing and Wal-Mart and was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women's Bible Class. Survivors include four sons, Bryan Hines and friend Diane Anderson, Dale Hines and wife Glynda, all of Spartanburg, Danny Hines and wife Penny of Landrum, and Keith Hines and friend C. C. Fraser of Pauline; a brother, Joe Stacey and wife Vella of Lake Charles, LA; a special aunt, Mavis Lawson of Spartanburg; four grandsons, Josh, Jason, Brandon, and Taylor Hines; and a granddaughter, Staci Hines. She was predeceased by a son, James E. Hines, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Beaumont Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. John Cox, the Rev. Mike McGee, and the Rev. Rupert E. Guest. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary Escort will be members of the Women's Bible Class. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
