Janet Whitham

Janet Dunn McConaghy Whitham, 102, a resident of Valley Falls Terrace Nursing Center, Spartanburg, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Born June 6, 1909, in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hay Dunn, and wife of the late Clifford Whitham. Mrs. Whitham was a member of Skycrest United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Florida, a homemaker, and former employee in the textile industry. She was also a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a member of Channel Markers, and the Pinellas County Weavers Guild. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, June McConaghy of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Linda McConaghy Moore and Bill McConaghy, both of Spartanburg, and Margaret Baker and husband Mike of Greer; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, William McConaghy. A committal service will be held in Clearwater, Florida, at a future date. The families are at their respective homes.
