Janet Lynn Shook

Janet Lynn Shook, age 65, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at her home. She was born in Spartanburg, SC and was the daughter of the late Carlos H. Shook, Sr. and Christine Blackwood Shook.
Janet earned her bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of South Carolina and her law degree at Auburn University Law School. She owned her own business and was in private practice in Greenville.
She loved to travel all over the world, experiencing Africa, Europe, and many other places, and her love of animals made her happy.
Her survivors include two sons, Cameron Hambright of Charleston, SC and Evan Hambright of Greenville, SC; a brother, Chuck Shook of Spartanburg, and several cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at The J. F. Floyd Mortuary, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
