Jane Rowland

Jane Elizabeth Rowland, 59, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at her home. Jane was born March 31, 1951 in Greenville, SC and was reared in Spartanburg. She was a secretary for The J. F. Floyd Mortuary and was a graduate of Anderson College. A member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Single Adult Ministry for over 30 years, and participated on several Mission Trips including Croatia, New Orleans and Kentucky. Jane is survived by her parents, Vernon Leroy and Betty Jane Glenn Rowland of Spartanburg; her sister, LeAnne Rowland O'Donnell, and her husband Richard, of Nashville, TN; her brothers, Glenn Rowland, and his wife Margie, of Anderson, SC and Greg Rowland of Durham, NC; her niece, Paige Thompson; her nephews, Matt and Parker Rowland; and her great-niece and nephew, Rebecca and Adam Thompson. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, conducted the Reverend Sal Barone and the Reverend Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Keith Phillips and the Rev. Steve Wise. Members of the Adult Singles Ministry will serve as honorary escort. The family will be at the home of her parents in Spartanburg.
