Jane Corn Humphries, 58, of Inman, SC, died Monday, November 3, 2014, at her home. Born December 18, 1955, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Wendell and Mary Alice Painter Corn. Jane was employed with Chartwell Food Service in Spartanburg School District 2 at Carlisle-Foster Grove Elementary School for 17 years and an Avon representative for 8 years. A 1974 graduate of Dorman High School and lifelong member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church, she was the pianist for 47 years and was a member of the choir. Surviving is her loving husband of nearly 37 years, Benny Humphries; son, Bennett James "BJ" Humphries (Ashlie) of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Claudia Corn Bright (Leslie) of Boiling Springs, SC; nephew, Kelly Bernard Thomas (Janine); nieces, Wendy Annas (Kiernan) and Rebecca Thomas; and four great-nieces and four great-nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. Scott S. Gilmer. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC. Memorials may be made to Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church, 7400 Lone Oak Boulevard, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home at 418 Hickory Nut Drive, Inman, SC 29349.
