James Ronald "Ron" Lawson

James Ronald “Ron” Lawson, 73, of Spartanburg, SC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Born July 8, 1949 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late James Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Hinson Lawson, and husband of the late Sieglinde Breinl Lawson.

Ron served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the owner and operator of Southern Fleet Inc.

Survivors include daughters, Robin Flowers, Tina Strange and Jennifer Nix (Duane); sons, Ricky Lawson (Stephanie) and Scott Lawson (Jean); grandchildren, Savanna, Jordin, Kaitlyn, Brett, Blake, Jake, Ashlynn, Trenton and Wade; great-grandchildren, Kolten, Klayton and Gabby; and brother, David Lawson (Beverly). Ron is predeceased by his grandson, Tyler, and sisters, Dovie Ann Parris and Mary Ellen “Marn” Everette.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Dove Assembly, 590 Mount Zion Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
