James Cash

James William Cash, 94, formerly of Cowpens, SC, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Summit Hills-Spartanburg. Born August 31, 1919, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Mack Roy and Ola Crim Cash, and husband of the late Margaret Martin Cash. A U. S. Army Air Corps Radio Technician veteran, Mr. Cash was superintendent of Cowpens (Spartanburg) Water Works and retired after 25 years of service. He was a member of Cowpens First Baptist, the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, and served on the Cowpens Town Council for eight years. Surviving is his son, Tim Cash of Spartanburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Cash; and three sisters, Margaret Garner, Nona Boyter, and Wilma Sloan. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330, by the Rev. Ronell Owensby.
