James Ward

James Lee Ward, 68, of 160 Pine Creek Drive, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at his home. He was born August 28, 1941 in Woodruff, SC a son of the late John S. Ward Sr., and Carrie Greene Ward. He was a retired officer with the Spartanburg City Police Department. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 0508 and a Mason. Survivors include his son, David W. Ward of Spartanbug, his daughter, Renee B. McCloud and her husband Lindsay of Palm City, Fl., a sister: Annie Greene of Enoree, SC, a grandson Leland McCloud of Palm City, Fl, and granddaughter, Ashley Foster of Melbourne, Fl. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2009 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by the Rev. Keith Taylor. Burial will follow at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.
