James Tolleson

James O. Tolleson, 91, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, November 3, 2011, at White Oak Estates. Born June 15, 1920, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late William F. and Mae Ola Wilkerson Tolleson, and husband of the late Elsie Taylor Tolleson. Mr. Tolleson was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg where he was a former deacon. He was also a former employee of Southern Wood Piedmont Co. Survivors include his son, Randy J. Tolleson of Spartanburg; daughter, Vada T. Allen and husband Larry of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2011, in First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael S. Hamlet.
