James Timmons Jr.

James Clifford Timmons Jr., 60, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, May 27, 2021 at his home. Born August 20, 1960 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Ruby Moore Timmons of Spartanburg, SC and the late J. C. Timmons.

Mr. Timmons was a longtime employee of Timmons Concessions and Little Richards Enterprise. He loved carnival concessions, was a Carolina Gamecocks and Carolina Panthers fan, and volunteered for the Hejaz Shrine Circus. He was a member of Una First Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Ann Sawyer (James) of Inman, SC and Sue T. Hill of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Wayne Timmons (Joy) of Spartanburg, SC and Gene Timmons (Darlene) of Inman, SC; sister-in-law, Bobbie Timmons; nine nieces and nephews; twelve great-nieces and nephews; cousins, Ray Moore of Asheville, NC and Robbie Moore (Sharon) of Union, SC, and Smokey Joe his fur baby. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by a brother, David Timmons and brother-in-law, Jerry Hill, Sr.

Visitation will be held 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021 at graveside in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with graveside services following at 2:30 PM conducted by The Rev. Kenneth Cash.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
