James Swofford

James Monroe Swofford, 85, husband of Vera Ann Trail Swofford, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at his home.  Born December 19, 1936, he was a son of the late Howard Bivens and Myrtle Cox Swofford.

Mr. Swofford was retired from Spartanburg Steel Company and a veteran of the U. S. Army and Army National Guard.

Survivors along with his wife are a son, Wayne Swofford (Vivian) and a daughter, Sheila Nodine (Tommy), all of Inman; a brother, Robert Swofford of Inman, a sister, Alice Swofford of Greenville; a grandson, Justin Swofford of Walhalla.  He was predeceased by a brother, Howard Swofford and a sister, Myrtle Walters.

Private burial services will be held.
