James Richard Sizemore, Sr., 70, of Spartanburg, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born July 31, 1940 in Converse, SC, he was the son of the late Carroll C. and Ruby Estelle Crossley Sizemore. He was a commercial construction superintendent, of the Baptist faith, a 35-year Mason, a member of the Builders Association, and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lucretia Hartzog Sizemore; three sons, James Richard Sizemore, Jr. and his fiancé Karen Brandenburg of Greer, Gregory Lee and Lisa Sizemore of Lyman, and Darwin Carroll Sizemore of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Shaun Barrett, Taylor Sizemore, and Christopher Sizemore; one great-grandson, Luke Barrett; a brother, Gary R. (Laura) Sizemore of Freeport, TX; and a sister, Nancy (Michael) McDonald of Campobello, SC. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett and the eulogy given by Mr. Jack A. Linder.
